Which tops photograph most differently from how they hang?
Knits and structured jackets. A cable knit that looks bulky on a hanger sits soft on a body, and a denim jacket that looks boxy flat has shoulders once someone is inside it. Those two are where a try-on saves the most returns.
Shirts and blouses change less between hanger and body, but the neckline does. A silk blouse with a draped neck reads very differently on a long neck and a short one, and that is a photo question, not a size question.
What should stay the same when only the top changes?
Everything below the waist, and everything above the collar. The jeans in the before photo are the jeans in the after photo. Your face, your hair and your hands are untouched. If a try-on tool redraws your trousers to change your shirt, it is guessing, and you will not know what else it guessed.

Yes. The top changes and the trousers or skirt in your photo stay exactly as they are. A full-body photo is fine; a waist-up photo is enough.
Does it handle jackets over other clothes?
Yes. A jacket sits over whatever you are wearing in the photo, the same way it would in a shop. The layer underneath is kept.
Can I import a shirt from an online shop?
Yes. Save the product photo and use it as the garment. A photo of the top on its own or on a mannequin gives the cleanest result.
Will the colour be accurate?
Colour comes from the garment photo you choose, so it is as accurate as that photo. Screen colour and shop lighting vary, so treat a very pale or very saturated shade as an approximation.
